About the Panel

Welcome to the website of Canonbury Safer Neighbourhoods Ward Panel. Canonbury ward is a neighbourhood within the London borough of Islington. Each ward has a dedicated Safer Neighbourhoods Team. Safer Neighbourhoods Teams usually consist of one Sergeant, two Constables and three Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs).

Each ward has a panel made up of members of the community who live or work within that ward. The Panel consists of approximately twenty representatives from local residents’ associations, businesses, housing providers and other organisations, from Islington Council, and from the Metropolitan Police. The Panel meets every three months to review and if necessary amend the current priorities for the Canonbury Safer Neighbourhoods Team.
